Well today is the day after we picked up our bikes and after Janes parents had left I decided I needed some fresh air and to be honest I was itching to get on the bikes again.
I had spent the night before quite ill and was up most of the night and was feeling pretty rough but I still thought it was a good idea to get out into the fresh air and start training.
Today was meant to be a gentle ride along the sea front and we had not really planned to go to far…. but on our new bikes it is almost effortless riding and before we knew it we had done a fair few miles.
I have found that my bike speedo has an annoying rattle but I will fix that when I get a chance to look at it… I am still getting use to the bikes and the gears and also the different riding style.
Jane seems to be coping really well and carries a nice pace…Jane always a looked a bit big on her old mountain bike even from brand new but on her new bike it looks like the perfect size.
