20/04/12 Rain Rain Rain

20, April 2012 By Danny

The weather has been tragic the last week and we have only been able to train indoors. We have been using our rowing machine and the indoor bike. It has been nice to train on the rower but man its tiring.

Today has been a slow day, I have been feeling ill today and quite honestly I spent the whole day in bed and luckily for me I can pretty much run Davlic Media from my mobile phone so its not always bad.

However the doctors have told me that exercise is important for my recovery so I do make an effort to get out and try and raise my heartrate everyday.

We got the bikes out and I decided to have a look at the pump as our tyres are looking a bit flat. The pump is one of these compact  pumps that does normal tyres and also presta valves which is what we have. I have no idea about these valves so I had to youtube it.

It seemed easy enough on the video but our pump meant that I need to pull the insides out of the pump and put it back in a way that it would work…. Well I think the main problem is that the pump is tiny and quite hard to get decent pressure but I think it will do to get us out of trouble on the trip.

We headed out quite late and the sun was shining beautifully and so we were looking forward to the ride. We went a different route today well its the same Barnham route but backwards. It was quite a nice ride and somehow went down a different route but the road was beautiful smooth road and when we got to the end of road we decided to do the loop again.

On the second way round the skies let rip and dropped hail and a lot of rain. We were soaked but I was determined to carry on and get the route finished.

By the time we got home our clothes were almost dry again but we were getting cold so were glad ti get home. Below you will see our route and the stats.
