15/04/12 A Gentle Cycle

15, April 2012 By Danny

Today we woke up feeling the pain of yesterdays up hill struggle however the sun was shining and it would be rude not to and have a peddle round the local area.

We planned not to go too far today as we both have a lot of work to get done on monday so we nominated tomorrow as our day of rest.

We headed towards Yapton and as soon as we left our drive we realised that although it is sunny it was cold and very windy. To say we were feeling it was an understatement.

For the first few miles of cycling ot was hard work but as soon as the wind dropped we upped the pace and we were back on target again.

We headed through Barnham past the windmill shops and and through some very picture postcard places and of course down this end of the country there are a lot of thatched houses which always makes for a very nice cycle ride.

The final stint of the ride was a lot easier as we were not working against the elements but with them.
